2023 Martinelli ‘Blue Slide Ridge’ Pinot Noir Russian River Valley

WA96 The 2023 Pinot Noir Blue Slide Ridge comes from vines planted in 1995. It has complex aromas of raspberry, strawberry, orange peel, Fernet and woodsy perfume. The medium-bodied palate features concentrated, crunchy flavors. It’s framed by silky tannins and vibrant acidity and has a long, layered finish. A total of 237 cases were made, and it will be released in August 2025.

JD95 A medium red color, the 2023 Pinot Noir Blue Slide Ridge is more focused on the nose, with bright spices, dusty earth, dried herbs, and wild strawberries. The palate is refined and elegant, with a linear feel and a graceful texture. It’s one of my favorites from this appellation. Drink 2025-2037.
