WSI93+ This misty, perfumed sparkler smells of juicy summer pear and delicate orange blossom with a striking note of bitter almond. Polished and bright, this offers aromas of hawthorn, white stone fruit and white almond. Reflecting the nose, the dry, vibrant palate presents ripe yellow apple and bitter almond alongside a lively, refined perlage. Grapes are de-stemmed and gently pressed, then the must is left at 48-50°F for about 12 hours to allow the heavy deposit to settle; the clear must is then drawn off and fermented. Fermentation lasts for 15-20 days. Yeasts and sugar are added to trigger the second fermentation. Alcohol: 11.5%
VIN91 The NV Brut Prosecco Superiore Conegliano Valdobbiadene opens with a remarkably pretty bouquet of dried flowers, white smoke and crushed green apples. Silken and round, it mixes texture with tension, with soothing bubbles offset by a core of zesty acidity as ripe orchard fruits settle on the senses. It cleans up beautifully through the finish, salty and sweet, leaving a resonance of chamomile to linger. This represents fantastic value.
Estate Notes: The minerality of our Sommariva Prosecco Superiore Brut adds to the quality of its flavour and fragrance, and elegantly enhances all your choices of accompaniment. The bright straw colour is an identifying characteristic of the wines produced in the eastern hills of the Conegliano Valdobbiadene Docg region. Rippled by the finest of bubbles, it heralds the fullness of its body in the mouth. The pungent mineral note that dampens the citrus scent of grapefruit and lime, the acacia and linden flowers and the fragrance of bread crust is a characteristic feature of the iron and mineral-rich soil in which we grow our Glera.
