2016 Luna Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley

JS93 Aromas of blackberries and blueberries with hints of sweet tobacco follow through to a full body, chewy and poised tannins and a flavorful finish. A blend of 95 per cent cabernet sauvignon and a dash of petit verdot. Drink in 2020. 
Estate Notes: Currants, black cherries, anise and cedar on the nose; plums, vanilla, and black tea on the palate. Our 2016 Cabernet speaks to the Old World with subtle structure from moderate use of new French oak and a small percentage of Petit Verdot. Luna’s Cabernet is sourced from fruit grown in the Oakville & Yountville sub AVA’s.  95% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Petit Verdot. Fermented 3-4 weeks in stainless steel for optimal color and flavor. Aged in 70% New French Oak and 30% Neutral Oak for 20 months.
