JS 94 A balanced and fresh red for the hot 2017 vintage with medium body, fine tannins and plenty of currants, blackberries and blueberries on the finish. Drink or hold.
WS 93 A beam of pure blackberry runs through this otherwise dense and focused red. Shows elegance, with balance and complexity, but needs time to integrate and reveal all its facets. Offers fine, minerally length. Sangiovese and Merlot. Best from 2021 through 2032.

Crognolo is named after a wild bush, Cornus, that grows abundantly on the estate. Made from mostly Sangiovese, a traditional Tuscan variety that produces elegant and age-worthy wines, Crognolo brings together the class of Sangiovese with a complexity bestowed by aging in oak. The blend of Sangiovese and Merlot is grown in the compact, sandy soils allowing the grapes to develop intense flavor-profiles in the Tuscan countryside.
