Our house theme of producing Pinot Noir that is not typically “California” in style, has prevailed once again and is on full display with this bottling. Aromas of petrol, tar, tobacco, dried rose petals, red fruits, star anise and ginger rise from the glass. Fresh, bright flavors of wild strawberry, cranberry, pomegranate, and blood orange are interlaced with juniper berry, black tea, smoked meats and soft chewy tannins. Although this complex wine is approachable now, it will only improve over the next 10-15 years.
