From the heralded Pritchard Hill region at an altitude of 1,400 feet comes this noble
Cabernet Sauvignon, showing many of the characteristics of a mountain-grown
Bordeaux. The wine’s color is incredibly dark, and on the nose are lifted aromas of plum,
black cherry and warm blacktop. Aged for 28 months in 100% new French Oak, a kiss of
toast fills out the bouquet. The tannins here are certainly muscular at this age, but they
envelop the black fruits rather than drown them out, and the chewy yet expansive
mouthfeel shows good finesse in general. The 2019 Stagecoach is a wine to be enjoyed
for two decades and beyond. Bottled unfiltered and unfined. 175 cases produced.
