The 2019 Malbec has a beautiful bouquet with pomegranate, raspberry, boysenberry, violets and hints of vanilla. The silky-smooth entry leads to a seamless palate with fine tannins that give the wine a sleek structure and a core of delicious fruit. Black cherry, blackberry preserves and mulberry greet your palate as they fade to warm spice flavors and a toasty crème brulee note on the finish. Enjoy through 2033.
The 2019 Malbec was harvested from Beckstoffer Melrose Vineyard on September 28th and Stagecoach Vineyard October on 24th of 2019. The fruit was gently destemmed and then pumped to tank. It was fermented on the skins for 10-14 days and then drained at the completion of alcoholic fermentation. After draining, it was racked to 55% new French and Hungarian Oak for ageing. It was then racked quarterly for the first year before being racked to tank in May for bottling. Varieties: Malbec 86% Cabernet Sauvignon 8% Petit Verdot 6%
