Deep garnet ruby in color, the 2021 Northern Gale Cabernet Sauvignon greets the nose with a burst of cherries, blackberry and cassis overlaid with hints of anise, cedar and sweet Virginia tobacco. A flavor bomb of dark ripe summer berries with a sagebrush pepper spice and cedar cigar box notes. The ample structure carries savory characters that develop into cocoa notes on the long soft finish. Drinking beautifully now and will continue to develop for another 10-20 years.
