WA96 The 2023 Pinot Noir Bondi Home Ranch comes from vines planted in 1998–1999. It has a compelling woodsy, floral perfume—dried flowers, mossy bark and botanicals complement a core of strawberry and raspberry. The medium-bodied palate is delicately styled with crunchy, detailed flavors. It’s structured by silky tannins and mouthwatering acidity and has a long, complex finish. 783 cases were made.
JD95 A jeweled ruby color, the 2023 Pinot Noir Bondi Home Ranch has a lifted, more focused mineral aromatic profile with notes of wet stone petrichor, raspberries, red cherry liqueur, pressed flowers, and sweet forest herbs. It’s very pretty and saturates the palate with ripe tannins and a savory richness. The palate is open and inviting, and this was one of my favorites in the range at this tasting.
Estate Notes: The nose is greeted with earthy undertones that complement the fragrant notes of black cherry and ripe black plum. It begins with a robust, full-bodied entry, giving way to a burst of fresh cherry on the midpalate. Firm tannins carry the wine to a lingering finish, where hints of warming spices and black tea leave a lasting impression.
